Lotus- A specialized web based app providing early intervention

We wanted to make the best use of the small windows of opportunity when women are in a confidential space and feel safe enough to ask/look for support.

We have developed a multi-lingual web based app that enables women from a wide range of communities to more quickly identify themselves as victims of abuse through a service that will:

• Reduces the time between a woman experiencing abuse and gaining appropriate support
• Provides more effective, culturally appropriate solutions that are accessible to the widest cross section of women possible
• Reduces the administrative burden on statutory services e.g. GPs –  Primary Care
• Improves the process of referrals and improves the quality of the data being collected

Introducing the Web-Link: LOTUS

The web based app presents a collection of stories which address issues of fear (barriers to support) as identified by previous service users. They aim to encourage users to easily ask for help by pressing one button and leaving their safe contact detail.  Aanchal support Staff will return the call and initiate safeguarding plans.  The link is designed to be placed in Primary Care so that those who need help are in a safe and confidential environment.
