Callers use our helpline for a range of Different Services

Crisis situation

If your need is urgent and immediate, we can seek safe accommodation options for you. We can also discuss other options and provide advice on how you can keep yourself safe (such as keeping important documents like your passport and NI number safe).

Fleeing abuse

In many families where domestic abuse exists, it is hard to flee or make changes due to the controlling dynamics of the household, family and community pressure. If you are looking to flee from the perpetrator, we will discuss your options and help you create an action plan. This includes helping you make informed choices for long term safeguarding plans and decide on the best coping strategies before you take action.

General information

We can provide you with information across a range of topics including benefits and welfare rights, immigration issues (including no recourse to legal funds and the rights of non-British citizens), children’s and young people’s issues, housing and financial support. We work in partnership with solicitors to ensure safe and timely legal actions. These can include orders to prevent the perpetrator contacting you.

A shoulder to lean on

It may be you just need to talk to someone. We understand that it takes a lot of courage to pick up the phone or send an email seeking help. We ensure confidentiality; we will not judge or discriminate. We are here to help you, we will believe you and we will listen.

Taking action on any of the options we give is entirely up to you, the caller. We are there for you whether you choose to take action or not.
